Outbound Adhoc SMS

Agents can send SMS at any time such as while on a call, chat, or email. Before enabling Outbound SMS, an SMS API endpoint needs to be created. SMS API endpoint can be acquired from your current SMS provider or you can use API endpoints provided by CloudWave or its partners.

To enable Outbound SMS, toggle Ad-hoc Outbound SMS to ON from Contact Centre--> instance --> Settings --> Channels. Fill in:

  • Your endpoint url
  • Message Character Limit (for example 160)
  • Custom Request Header
  • Custom Request Header Value

Click on Save
